If you’re wondering who has the best burgers, pizza, chicken sandwich, etc., look no further. In the name of “Food Science,” (cough), I do the research on all the good, excellent and yes, bad food so you don’t have to.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the best foods in 2022, in Wichita and otherwise. I look forward to expanded reporting in 2023.
The Best Chicken Sandwich in Fast Food: Evaluated in 2021 during the peak of the Chicken Sandwich Wars, they maintained their status as #1 in 2022. Popeye’s is King. The Best Fish Sandwich in Fast Food: Not only do they make a great chicken sandwich, they know how to do fish as well. Popeye’s is tops with fast food fish sandwiches. Best Frozen Pizza, Ranked: Pizza is without question my favorite food. Burgers come in at #2. Each has a dedicated category on BachelorontheCheap.com. So who makes the best of the cheap frozen variety? Ranked #1 is Freschchetta, at #2 is Tony’s (best pizza bang for the buck) and at #3 is Newman’s Own. The Best Pizza in the Wichita Metro: This one is in need of an update, but Marchello’s still holds a #1 spot for me. Sadly, some really good pizza joints have closed and some new places have opened since I did this particular review. Piatto Neapolitan Pizzeria is a stellar #2 and Po Boy earned #3 honors. 2023 is going to be a very good year… The story: Pizza Challenge: Finding the 10 best pizza joints in the Wichita Area
The Best Taco in the Wichita Metro: This challenge was cut short in 2022 due to some personal health concerns, but I look forward to resuming the taco tasting in 2023! There are SO many good tacos in town!
