I went to dinner with some co-workers last night and Cheddar’s was our destination, it was a ‘looking forward to a great 2017’ celebration of sorts.
I figured we would have to wait a bit to be seated considering the size of our group – Cheddar’s doesn’t take reservations – but we were seated right away.
Since we had a fairly large group, we tried to put a couple tables together, but to our surprise, Cheddar’s bolts their tables to the floor…… Oh well.
Drinks and appetizers were ordered. The appetizers chosen were a varied sampling of onion rings, chicken tenders, cheesy fries, typical bar food type fare… It was all delivered fairly quickly and it was all pretty tasty.
For my meal, I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries. The burger was cooked perfectly, the meat to bun ratio was spot on, the bacon portion was generous and it was a perfect burger bite along with that honey mustard. The fries were excellent as well, that perfect crispy on the outside, tender on the inside kind of fry, YUM!
Nobody received a bad meal, it was all good, from the steaks, to the salmon, to the variety of chicken dishes.
The service was adequate, but not stellar. One food order was incorrect and at times drink refills were slow to the table. I’ll give Cheddar’s a bit of a pass due to the large group. Overall, the food was good, appetizers tasty, burger excellent, fries were perfect.
Cheddar’s receives 4 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap Stars.
