Famous for their charbroiled burgers, Hardee’s has been serving them up since 1960. This is a fast food chain that has had to reinvent themselves a few times over the years in order to stay competitive, to include a corporate split with now sister company, Carl’s Jr. They are currently the #24 ranked chain in terms of sales. They’ve been as high as #20, that was in 2013.

It’s been awhile since I’ve eaten at Hardee’s and even longer since I’ve had one of their chicken sandwiches (Their Mushroom Swiss Burger is pretty darn tasty). It can be kind of tough while on a road trip trying to find something a little bit different from the typical burger, slice of pizza or deli sandwich to have for lunch.
