Country fried steak, a.k.a., chicken fried steak is an American classic comfort food and it’s in my Top 5 list of comfort food meals.
Is your mouth starting to water? Imagine tender beef covered in a crispy, golden brown breading and topped with country gravy, mmmm……. It’s another dose of YUM and Pierre Signatures nails it!
Needing something convenient for dinner after busy days at work, I picked up a box of Pierre Signatures Country Fried Steak at Costco for around $11. It’s a box of 10 steaks and two gravy mix packets are included. In doing that math, that’s just over $1 a steak and they’re a nice size, four ounces each and they’re seasoned and breaded nicely. I like these steaks because they’re super easy to prepare and more importantly, they please the palate. You can bake them, microwave them, or fry them. The gravy is tasty too with a classic, creamy with-a-dash-of-black-pepper flair. Paired up with a nice side of veggies, this meal really hits the spot, especially after a long day on the job!
A good chicken fried steak smothered in gravy is tough to beat and Pierre Signatures delivers getting five out of five Bachelor on the Cheap stars. They’re Bachelor on the Cheap friendly on the wallet and oh-so friendly on the taste buds.
