Can you eat for a week on just $50?
Breaking it down by the day, that’s about $7.14 per day or $2.38 per meal.
It’s Day 3 Lunch Time! For lunch I enjoyed a no-bun Philly Cheese Steak topped with onion and side of mixed veggies in a cream sauce. The steak is a thin cut 3.5 ounce Ribeye, the cheese is American. The veggies are leftover from yesterday. It’s all good eats! It took me perhaps 10 minutes to prepare and only cost me about $2.05 to include a Diet Mountain Dew. TIP: A 36 count case of soda at Costco is $10.95, or about 30 cents a can.
Meal totals for the day:
Breakfast: $1.25
Lunch: $2.05
Cumulative total for the Challenge:
Day 1: $7.25 Day 2: $6.90Day 3: $3.30 (breakfast & lunch)
Grand Total: $17.45 so far and under budget! Holding off on the Ramen….. for now….
$50 to eat for a week, are you up for the challenge?
