Can you eat for a week on just $50?
Breaking it down by the day, that’s about $7.14 per day or $2.38 per meal.
It’s Day 3 Dinner Time! Now is that a great looking plate of food or what? For dinner I enjoyed some Teriyaki Chicken served over a bed of rice. Chunks of chicken breast and rib meat were fried up with a little canola oil and then simmered in Teriyaki, garlic, ginger and a few other spices. The rice was done with chicken stock instead of water. The dish was topped with some fresh green onion. It was another dose of YUM! This meal busted the per meal guideline of $2.38, costing me $3.25, but I’m still good on the day. TIP: Flavor your rice!
Meal totals for the day:
Breakfast: $1.25Lunch: $2.05
Dinner: $3.25
Cumulative total for the Challenge:
Day 1: $7.25 Day 2: $6.90Day 3: $6.55
Grand Total: $20.70 so far and under budget! Holding off on the Ramen….. for now….
$50 to eat for a week, are you up for the challenge?
$pend Wisely My Friends…
