Regular readers know that I’m all about making something that’s quick, easy to prepare but tastes delicious.
This dish has all those elements and it’s also easy on the wallet, this is after all, a Bachelor on the Cheap recipe.
Ingredients:
- One pound of ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely diced
- 1/4 cup carrot, finely diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- The juice from one lime
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- A package of tortillas
Directions:
Heat up a skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef, drain and set aside. Keeping a little bit of that hamburger grease in the pan, saute the onion, green bell pepper and carrots until the veggies get soft, about five minutes. Add the browned burger, garlic, seasoning salt and black pepper, stir to incorporate, reduce heat to simmer, add the lime juice and let all those flavors marry for another 2-3 minutes. Serve the mixture in a tortilla topped with cheddar cheese. The cheese will melt nicely in the wrap. Serving Option: After putting the wrap together, put it in the pan, turning occasionally until it’s golden brown and delicious on all sides.
It’s another does of YUM!
