You could go for a bag of those small but crunchy pretzels, but is that really a celebration of pretzels? Heck no, you need to go for a big, warm, soft, salty pretzel with dipping sauce!
A number of eateries in the Wichita Metro have pretzel treats on the menu and some are offering deals and discounts to honor the day. Here’s where you can celebrate National Pretzel Day.
Prost in Revolutsia is running a pretzel special to celebrate the day
Prost, located in the Revolutsia complex at 2721 E Central Ave #101, Wichita, KS 67214 has Pretzels und Spundekäse on their menu. You get 2 Bavarian-style pretzels with dipping sauce options, a creamy garlic & onion dip, and mustard. The featured beer of the month is DAB beer, a pale Lager, which pairs well with the pretzels. National Pretzel Day Special: Buy a liter of DAB beer and get half-price on the pretzels with spundekäse and mustard.
Deano’s Grill & Tapworks, located at 9747 E 21st St N Suite 101, Wichita, KS 67206 features a Queso & Pretzels appetizer. The soft, warm pretzels and creamy cheese sauce is addictive according to restaurant reviews.
Emerson Biggins Old Town, located at 808 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67202 has a fried, that’s right, fried pretzel appetizer called the Biggins Stadium Pretzel. Served with yellow queso cheese, it’s one of their more popular menu items.
Wichita Brewing Co. & Pizzeria with two locations in the metro, 535 N Woodlawn St # 375, Wichita, KS 67208 and 8815 W 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67212, provides a Beer Queso & Pretzels experience. It’s pretzel breadsticks and queso with some kick.
The Pourhouse located at 711 E Douglas Ave #105, Wichita, KS 67202 has a smoked pretzel. Enjoy three large smoked soft pretzels sprinkled with smoked salt. Served with a choice of Warbeard queso or Falconer’s Wheat honey mustard.
The Hill Bar & Grill located at 4800 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67208 has a pretzel bite appetizer that’s excellent for sharing. The pretzels are made in-house and served with a beer queso sauce. Enjoy them during Happy Hour from 3 pm – 6 pm.
Aunty Anne’s, a popular mall stop located at Towne East Square as well as Towne West, Aunty Anne’s specializes in soft pretzels of all kinds, sweet and savory to include all kinds of toppings and dips to go with them. You really shouldn’t leave the mall without one. Rewards members can add a dip or a drink to a free pretzel order on National Pretzel Day.
If you’re on the go, QuikTrip makes a pretty darn good soft pretzel. Options are classically salted, topped with Parmesan, or dusted with cinnamon & sugar.
