You can’t always find what you’re looking for at the mainstream grocery store, Walmart, or a wholesale club like Sam’s or Costco. That’s why there are specialty markets.
Lucky Market is one of those specialty markets and Asian foods is their focus.
They’ve got it all covered from the basics in large varieties of noodles, rice, sauces (soy, teriyaki, hoisin etc.), to ginger beer, specialty meats, a huge selection of fish and a produce section offering all kinds of fruits and vegetables. Every isle of the store is filled with all kinds of great choices.
Prices are very reasonable. On my little shopping trip to the store (more observation than buying), I purchased 4 limes, some Canton style noodles and a bunch of cilantro for just $3.73. Try doing that at the mainstream grocery store. You probably won’t even find the Canton style noodles there and you most likely won’t get the quantity I got for that price.
This is why specialty stores exist. They cater to a niche’ market, providing items you won’t find at the mainstream grocery store.
If you feel like cooking up something oriental for dinner, shop for the ingredients at Lucky Market.
Lucky Market is located at: 7100 E. Harry St., Wichita, KS. 67207
