More convenient than a fast food drive-thru

I recently reviewed the QT Kitchens Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Taco (link below). It’s not a bad breakfast bite and it’s more convenient than a fast food drive-thru, so this morning, I thought I would sample their Bacon, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Taco. Bonus: QT has a pretty nice coffee bar, featuring a variety of self-serve coffee blends, creamers, cappuccinos and other hot drinks. I get to doctor up my coffee as I see fit.
With two full strips of bacon delivering bacon in every bite and a generous portion of scrambled egg, this is a satisfying breakfast taco. The bacon was cooked properly and had good flavor with a nice hint of smoke. Whatever kind of bacon QT uses it’s good quality, it’s not overly fatty or stringy. The eggs were nice and fluffy but could have used a touch more seasoning, I kicked things up a notch with a packet of taco sauce. The cheese notes provided a nice compliment and even had a visible melt pull. Wrapped up nicely in that warm, soft tortilla, I have to compliment QT Kitchens, I have yet to sample a product that was sloppily prepared. Everything they put together is done with care.

Available for $2.69, I’m giving the QT Kitchens Bacon, Egg & Cheese Taco 4 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap stars. It’s not the cheapest breakfast taco out there, but it is convenient and a satisfying breakfast bite. Coupled with how you can doctor up your own coffee, the bacon breakfast taco is worthy of a repeat buy. And when you’re driving, this is a clean breakfast eat, no spillage on the shirt!
