How does the Aldi brand compare to Tyson?

Chicken nuggets, it’s a regular buy for a lot of folks, especially families with kids. But it’s also a convenience food for many others. Pull a portion or two out of the freezer and in less than 10 air-fryer minutes, you’ve got a quick meal or snack.
Today I’m reviewing Kirkwood Chicken Nuggets. An Aldi brand, the Kirkwood lineup of chicken products is actually Tyson chicken packaged in Aldi’s private label according to Aisleofshame.com.
It’s a processed nugget, like so many others, it’s shaped, seasoned, breaded, fried, and flash-frozen. Kirkwood benefits from the Tyson process, which is a proven winner. Tyson nuggets are a top seller for a reason and Aldi was smart to partner up with them. The nuggets are seasoned well, the meat is juicy and the breading provides a nice crunch. No, it’s not beer-battered or panko-coated chunk chicken ($$$), but it’s still a top-tier chicken nugget in anybody’s book, especially considering the price.

chicken nuggets with dipping options of honey mustard and bbq sauce.
Costing me $5.59 for a 29-ounce bag, I’m giving Kirkwood Chicken Nuggets 4 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap stars. Reliably good, they won’t disappoint, kids or adults. Repeat buy worthy, you’ll save a few bucks by buying the Kirkwood packaged nuggets at Aldi. Compare the discount grocer’s price to the Tyson price at Dillons – $7.99 for a 32-ounce bag, and at Walmart that 32-ounce bag will run you $6.98. Despite 3 fewer ounces, the nuggets at Aldi are the better deal for the very same product.
