I don’t know who comes up with these “National Days” (there’s a job to have, huh?), but today is April 12, National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day.
So who has a good one in the Wichita Metro?
Here’s a short list of places in no particular order that offer up a good Grilled Cheese in case you wanted to celebrate the day:
Lotus Leaf Cafe – Tuscan Grilled Cheese: Muenster cheese, Mozzarella cheese, sundried tomato pesto and basil pesto toasted to perfection on wheatberry bread. Contains tree nuts.
The Kitchen – Triple Grilled Cheese: sharp cheddar, swiss & brie
Pumphouse – Grilled Tri-Cheese: Cheese overdrive. American, cheddar, and smoked Gouda on Texas toast
Public at the Brickyard – GRILLED CHEESE PLEASE: Grilled Cheese on wheat – served with fries
Mif Deli – Grilled Cheese Pannini: Provolone cheese, homemade pesto on ciabatta bread, served with salad.
Bricktown Brewery – GRILLED HAM & CHEESE W/TOMATO SOUP: Shaved ham and American cheese between Pecorino Romano crusted grilled bread. Served with San Marzano tomato soup topped with pretzel croutons. (no choice of side)
