Can you eat for a week on just $50?
Breaking it down by the day, that’s about $7.14 per day or $2.38 per meal.
It’s Day 3 already! Here’s breakfast: I enjoyed some hash browns with a couple of eggs over easy, a simple breakfast but a satisfying one. And like the meal itself, the preparation was simple, a little canola oil to fry things up with and some salt and pepper. It only took me about 10 minutes to prepare. The hash browns I bought for $1 at Dollar Tree and the eggs were purchased at Aldi – 79 cents a dozen. This meal cost me about $1.25 to prepare and that included my morning coffee. TIP: Have you ever shopped at an Aldi?
Meal totals for the day:
Breakfast: $1.25
Cumulative total for the Challenge:
Day 1: $7.25 Day 2: $6.90Day 3: $1.25 (breakfast)
Grand Total: $15.40 so far and under budget! Holding off on the Ramen….. for now….
$50 to eat for a week, are you up for the challenge?
$pend Wisely My Friends…
