It’s an easy thing to do, just go online, visit your favorite fast food restaurant websites and sign up for their deals. They will send you coupons for deals not advertised. Today for lunch, I stopped in an Arby’s to take advantage of a Loaded Italian sandwich coupon I received. The coupon deal was buy a Loaded Italian sandwich and get a free small curly fry AND a free small drink. Going inside the restaurant to order ‘to-go’, all I had to do was show them the coupon image on my phone when ordering. Easy Peasy!
I’ve never had Arby’s Loaded Italian sandwich before and let me tell you, this is a very good sandwich! It’s a classic, ham, salami, pepperoni all sliced thin and stacked high. Piled on top of that are banana peppers, lettuce, tomato and red onion. That’s all drizzled with a red wine vinaigrette and the Italian roll is dressed with a garlic aioli and there’s melted provolone cheese to bring it all together.
It’s a thumb’s up sandwich, a repeat buy. The only knocks I have is the smoke on the ham is way too subtle and the roll didn’t get toasted enough. Arby’s, if you are going to hype those things up in the promotion of the sandwich, then you have to deliver. The smoke on the ham and the toast on the roll fell a bit short, but otherwise, a very good sandwich. You hit all the marks in making a good loaded Italian.
This was a great deal! The Loaded Italian sandwich, free small curly fry and free small drink cost me $5.47 and I’m extremely full, in fact, I probably should have just eaten half the sandwich, saving the other half for later.
