Goal

Identify where and how UNJLC can improve its logistics coordination, information and support services for the Humanitarian Community in Sudan.

Summary of Conclusions

  • UNJLC is recommended to work on increasing awareness of the Logistics E-Mail Lists as discussion forums and also evaluate other potential information sharing platforms.
  • UNJLC should develop a Suppliers Database for North Sudan and work to update the existing database for South Sudan, including making the database more user-friendly.
  • UNJLC should investigate the possibility of establishing a road assessments database and dissemination tools, or other mechanisms with effective results.
  • UNJLC is recommended to robustly enhance information gathering, the development of documentation to guide the humanitarian community in dealing with customs issues, and continue helping partners with specific problems on a bilateral basis.
