HIGHLIGHTS

  • UNJLC has completed a light vehicle convoy from Khartoum to Darfur. Sixteen vehicles reached  
    Fasher and Nyala safely. The convoy was organised in conjunction with UNDSS, and provided with  
    armed escort by AMIS.  
  • Recently updated ‘Roads: Practicability and Seasonal Conditions’ map for Southern Sudan is  
    available from the GIS/mapping Unit in Juba. (www.unjlc.org)  
  • The FEWS NET Darfur Rain Timeline and Seven Day Forecast will be posted weekly on the UNJLC   website throughout the rainy season.  
  • Common Surface Transport to Darfur, open to all humanitarian agencies, has been completed for this season. Approximately 550 MT capacity has been used in pre-positioning relief goods in light of  upcoming rains.
