1. AIR OPERATIONS:

2. SHIPPING:
• 96 containers have now been loaded for sea transport from Bangkok to
Yangon. The first shipment is due to arrive on August 5th.

3. CLUSTER OPERATIONS UPDATE
• To date 8,016 mt of cargo has been dispatched by the Logistics Cluster
through Myanmar.

4. ROADS AND WATERWAYS:
• As the roads to the hubs continue to deteriorate due to continuing rain, 95%
of all surface cargo transport is now taking place by boat.

5. HUBS UPDATE
• The Logistics Cluster in Yangon ran a workshop today to address the
continuation of the hubs after August 10th. The goal was to discuss the existing
parameters of hub operations, identify potential user groups for the hubs of
Pyapon, Bogale and Labutta (including a lead agency in each location),
clarify the status of hub operations in Maw’Gyun and Pathein, address
possible cost-sharing options between organizations, and ensure continuity in
the field.
